5 Years and Bon Voyage!

Today Heath and I celebrate 5 years of marriage. I can hardly believe it's been 5 years already. Time has really flown. I guess we've been having a lot of fun! Coincidently, we leave tomorrow on a 7-day cruise to the Caribbean along with some good friends of ours. We've been looking forward to this trip since Christmas when we booked it. I'm glad I had 5 months to get used to the idea of leaving Hunter for a whole week. The longest I've been away from him is 48 hours and even that was tough. He's going to have a great week with his grandmas and Dedi. I'm not worried about him at all. It's me with the seperation anxiety! We're looking forward to a nice relaxing week, a recharge of our batteries, and some great memories made with great friends.

See you in a week!

All Done

That is Hunter's favorite phrase to utter throughout his swim lessons. This time, he's really all done. Today he swam in his winter clothes and passed with flying colors. He knows how to swim to the wall and he knows when he needs to roll over and float. The whole purpose of these lessons is still to make sure he knows how to save his life if he were to fall into a body of water.

In these videos he's swimming in winter clothes and a real diaper. The diaper alone adds 5 pounds once it's filled with water. And yes, he's crying in the videos, but not nearly as bad as the first week. She says he'd be the perfect baby to video if it weren't for the crying :o)

A Visit to Callahan

While in Jacksonville over the weekend, we made a trip to visit Uncle Ronnie (We missed you Aunt Pat!). He had some new things to show little Hunter. Here they are pointing at them.
Stuffed Animals! Not exactly the kind Hunter is used to, but showed no discrimination.
Here they are admiring Hunter's huge picture on the wall of Uncle Ronnie's shop.
Petting a tree
I'm not sure who enjoyed the visit more, Hunter or Uncle Ronnie! Thanks for having us!

A Great Mother's Day Weekend

Saturday the 3 of us went to the beach for a few hours. We didn't expect it to go as well as it did. We expected Hunter to freak out over sand on his hands and feet, which he did, BUT with a bucket full of water on standby to constantly wash said sand off the hands and feet he was happy as a clam. He was able to control the sand on his hands by just not touching the sand with his hands, but his feet were another story. It just wasn't possible to not touch the sand with his feet. He would run around having a great time and then look down and realize there was sand on his feet. He'd run to the bucket to wash it off and then was off running again. Overall, it was a good trip to the beach and we'd definitely do it again. It's a good thing because we already have 2 beach vacations planned this summer. Saturday night Grandma babysat and we went out to a really nice dinner courtesy of a bithday gift card I received. We shopped a little after that.

Sunday, Mother's Day, Hunter did not get the memo that it would be really nice if he slept in for momma. His first peep was made at 6:15, not the norm for him. We went to early church where Hunter did awesome in the nursery, yay! Then over to Tiff's for lunch and swimming with the whole family. We came home and Hunter swam with Daddy again in our pool. We ate dinner and Hunter played so well all evening. He even let us watch him play while we lounged on the couch.

It was a great family weekend. I feel so blessed to have my two guys.

I have a little fish!

Despite Hunter's hatred for swim lessons, he's warmed up to the pool very quickly away from swim lessons. We did lots of swimming this weekend. I have a bunch of Mother's Day weekend pictures to put up, but here's a quick video to hold you over.

Mama

I received this gorgeous necklace from Lisa at Lisa Leonard Designs. I'm in love with it and wear it every chance I get. It's even more beautiful in person! Check out her other personalized, handmade jewelry. Thanks, Lisa!

New Products at Written In Thread...and other cute stuff!

I've been working hard to update my website a little bit and add some new products. I really love working with the applique design and have come up with some new things.

Hot Rolls Towel - This is a 20x20 napkin. It's perfect for those family dinners where you're always serving 'hot rolls'. It's a great gift for moms and grandmas, too. $8
Receiving Blankets - $15. There is also a print available for boys. See website. How cute are these Easter baskets! I just did the embroidery on these. The baskets and liners were purchased at Pottery Barn Kids.
I gave this adorable dress to a good friend at her baby shower. Just putting a little 'K' on the top and on the bloomers made it so special.

I'm calling this The Original Shirt. It's an oval applique with material of your choice and a single word of your choice. This customer chose the word 'TROUBLE' for this shirt for her son.
Sibling Shirts
And don't forget the Initial Shirts! All shirts are $17 regardless of design. I have some materials available, too!
