10 months

This girl is growing up way too fast! She turned 10 months over the weekend. I can't believe she'll be ONE so soon. She's the sweetest little thing and quite an easy baby. She's getting into things now and I can't tell her 'NO' without smiling. She's just so darn cute!

She's still army crawling and getting faster and faster at it. It's so funny to watch. She can get up on her hands and knees, but she knows her way is fastest. She's pulled herself up to standing once, but since she doesn't use her knees much she hasn't really figured that all out. Her two bottom teeth have broken through. She's hasn't done much teething which is such a blessing! She's quite the eater. Baby food was short lived. She eats all table food and feeds herself. There isn't much she doesn't like so far! Thank God I don't have to deal with TWO picky eaters. (But for the record, Hunter has gotten quite a bit better in the last few months.) She loves the pool. We skipped swim lessons for her this year, but we'll do them in April for sure. She's a great shopper so far. She loves to just sit in the shopping cart and watch people and look at things.

The closest you'll get to seeing those teeth
He's a camera hog these days
We broke out a new toy that she got for Christmas. I think Hunter likes it just as much, ha!

Daddy's Home!

As soon as Peyton realizes that Daddy is home from work she looks toward the kitchen for him and takes off doing her hilarious army crawl.
She greets him with a giant smile...
...and follows when he walks away. There is just something about a little girl and her Daddy. I can already see it.

My Human Mop

Here's Peyton 'crawling'. I don't know if you can actually call it that. I guess it's an army crawl. I think she looks like a seal, using those little feet like flippers. It's really funny when she goes fast. She's been doing this for at least a month now. She closer to doing some real crawling now that she's getting up on her hands and knees. At the end of the video you'll see the future gymnast in her.

letters, letters, letters

Something has clicked with Hunter recently. He learned a lot about letters in school this year, but all of a sudden he wants to spell everything out. We'll walk into a store and he'll stop and spell the big sign on the building...S-T-A-P-L-E-S. He's recently taken interest in writing letters, too. He's been writing 'his' H for a while, but not much else. A couple nights ago we practiced writing his name together and it was a few tries later when he wrote the whole thing without my help. So proud of that kid.

Here are a couple of drawings he's done.

A duck.
A monster!

Our D.C. Visitors

Lisa & John came to Orlando for a little vacation a couple weeks ago. We were able to spend a day or so with them before the rest of their family arrived to join them. I finally got my hands on her pictures so I can blog about it!

We had a nice meal at Old Hickory (inside the Gaylord Palms hotel). It was our belated anniversary dinner. The best part of the meal is this, the cheese course. Yum.
The next morning Hunter schooled Lisa in some matching games.

Then we were off to the pool where they would be spending the rest of their trip. Resort pools are so fun! Hunter loved the pirate ship.

This picture cracks me up. She looks like she hanging on for dear life,
but she's sitting on a little step.

Happy Father's Day, Daddy!

We love you so much! You are the best husband and father this girl and two kids could ever ask for. We hope your day is all that you want it to be.

Another beach trip

We just got home from a few days at the beach with Grandma, Grandpa, and Margie. We all had a great time. Here are a few pictures to start with....

Daddy caught Hunter some sand fleas
I think she will soon be a fish just like her brother

Last year Hunter was all about jumping the waves and this year he still loves that, but he's a lot more brave.
