An Easy (kid friendly) Holiday Treat

This is about as easy as it gets.  We make tons of these during the holidays.
We bring them to every event and party and give them away with gifts, too.
I need to think of a good name for them - M&M Pretzel Treats is about all I've got.
They're the perfect mix of salt, sweet, and chocolate....mmmmmm.

The 3 Ingredients:
1. Pretzel Snaps
2. M&Ms (just the regular milk chocolate kind)
3. White Candy Melts (I find these at JoAnns or Walmart)

Preheat your oven to 250 degrees.
Fill a baking sheet with with pretzels.
Put a candy melt on each one.
Put in the oven for 3 1/2 minutes.

Pull them out of the oven and smush 2 M&Ms on each one.
Let them sit until they're hard again.

That's it!  Easiest holiday treat ever!  And the kids can do most of the work.  Score!

Iris (9 days new)

Remember the baby shower I co-hosted not long ago?  Well, that little baby arrived and she's so precious.  Her momma let me come over and practice on her.  Besides Peyton, she is the first newborn I've photographed.  I was a tad nervous, but at the same time there was no pressure.  I learned a lot...mostly what not to do or how to do something better, but that's the way it goes.  Can't get better without practicing, right?  I'm happy with what we got and maybe I'll get the chance to squeeze in another session before she gets out of the sleepy phase.

She was so good.  She slept for a nice long stretch and let us move her and change accessories.  Then she woke up and gave me some good eye contact.

Baby, It's Cold Outside

The high today is 50 - FIFTY! (And 27 tonight!)  That's fa-reezing in central Florida.  And it's really windy which makes it that much worse.  I think we'll be staying warm inside the house today.  

There's no reason to be brave.  It's surprising that we've had so much cold weather already.  It's usually January before we have to pull out the sweaters.  Maybe we'll actually get a cold Christmas.  I can't remember when that happened last.

Christmas Card 2010

Now that my Christmas cards are out I'll share them with you.  I was so happy with these cards from Shutterfly.  I usually do a flat photo card and it was so nice to have a real card this year.  I love that I was able to include more than one photo.

Goodbye Fall

The last of the leaves were falling when we were at my mom and dad's last weekend.  

Hunter had a ball jumping into them as you can see.

Peyton wasn't quite sure what to do with them.  She's the queen of a dirty look.  

You always know how she feels, that's for sure!

Her pigtails were a little wild that day.  I call her a little who like from Horton Hears a Who.

My goodness, such a handsome boy.

Embrace the Camera: December 9

Still trying to get my family 100% healthy over here.  We're getting there.Here's Peyton with some of her favorite people.

It's Christmas Time!

Both kids had their Christmas jammies on so I forced myself to grab the camera and take some shots in front of the tree.  Peyton wanted nothing to do with sitting in front of the tree.  She was off before I could pick up the camera.  So, I gave her my bowl full of beads and balls she can't hurt and she sat there happy as a clam forever.

She has been so good about not taking the ornaments off the trees, but I wanted her to touch one just for the photo op.  This is my little FSU tree.

Oh boy!
