ICE 2012

This will be the 5th year we've gone to ICE with the family.  The kids love it... especially the ice slides.  This year's theme was Madagascar.  It was super cute.

This picture has become a tradition.

Peyton got cold halfway through.  It was extra cold this year!  I had to stop taking pictures to put my glove on.

Another Soccer Season in the Books

I think this was Hunter's 5th season of soccer.  I'm starting to lose track!  He moved up into a new age group so it was a bit more competitive.  It's a little more fun for the parents, too :)  Hunter did great and rarely had a game without a goal.  He continues to enjoy it and still wants to keep playing.  He'll be doing some extra training in the off season, too.

Fall Party

This is a bit out of order since this happened on Halloween, but Hunter's class had a fall party.  Several parents came in to help and we had different centers set up around the room for the kids.  They rotated in group and got a chance to do everything.

First was decorating cookies.  A mess of fun!

Then spider racing.... blowing a spider across the track with a straw.

A dice game

Computer time.... probably Hunter's favorite.

They made candy corn hands with popcorn.

Hunter missed the last center because he had a doctor's appt and ended up having an ear infection.  Didn't break that perfect attendance record though! :)

Thanksgiving Feasts

The kids each had a Thanksgiving Feast at school... same day, but different times so that worked out for me.

Peyton's class sang a couple of songs when we first got there.  Peyton was like a deer in the headlights with a room full of parents with cameras looking back at her.  She didn't sing any of the songs...ha!  But I've since heard them at home.

At Hunter's school each Kindergarten class dressed up as something that has to do with Thanksgiving.  His class was "The Plate of Food".  We had fun making the plates one morning.

They all sat in the hallway and ate pizza then watched a Charlie Brown movie in their classrooms.

Character Parade

Hunter's school had a Character Parade.  They were to dress up like a character in a book and then carry the book with them.  Each grade marched around the bus loop outside.  The news was even there because we had won "Cool School of the Week".

Here's his teacher.  Love her!

The kids were most excited to high five the older kids as they walked by.

The Game - FSU vs Duke

We were happy that the Homecoming game was against Duke this year.  It pretty much guaranteed a win.  The last 2 years we've taken Hunter we have lost at the last second with a missed field goal.  Such a let down!

At halftime we always go town to the tunnel that our players run through and wait for them to come back out onto the field.  Hunter got lots of high fives and Lonnie Pryor stood there and held his hand for quite some time.  Pretty cool!
Getting high fives from the players in the tunnel...so cool! This was an awesome handshake from #LonniePryor @lcp24
