Easter Morning

Our Easter morning was filled with getting ready for church.....in our matching outfits.  I just can't help myself!  The kids didn't remember that they were supposed to get Easter baskets so I saved those for later in the day.  Our church service was held at the Amway Center this year.  There were about 14,000 people there.  It was kinda crazy, but also awesome.  The kids had to sit with us for the service which made it interesting.

Each year I make sure we take a few pictures before we leave.  A nice lady on her morning jog stopped and offered to take a picture of all of us.  It's blurry with spotty sun, but there we are!

This picture immediately reminded me of one that was taken 2 years ago.  I'll put it below this one.  There's no denying that they're growing up!

I don't know if they can get any cuter!

First NSB Weekend

Oh how we love the beach.  We spent our first weekend of the year there during Spring Break. We invited some friends, the E Family, to join us for the weekend and everyone had a great time.  The water is still a bit cold, but that didn't stop the boys.  And the water, it's BLUE and CLEAR.  I cannot recall the ocean in central Florida ever being anything, but brownish and murky.  It is gorgeous right now!

A First

This picture deserves its own post.  So, we were at JB's Fishcamp (see previous post) watching the dolphin/porpoise/whatever swim just off the dock.  This lady turned around and asked one of us to take a picture of she and her husband.  Karl, a friend of ours who you see in the picture below, was being funny and went to stand next to the lady to get in the picture.  The lady says, "Actually I've never met a black man before."  We were all flabbergasted.  1.  That she had actually never met a black man and 2. That she actually said that to him.  Karl is a GREAT sport and totally humored her and talked to her.  She was beyond excited and said she couldn't wait to show her grandkids.  They were from Iowa.

Dolphin... Porpoise....Whatever

We spent a few days in New Smyrna Beach to finish out our Spring Break.  We had some friends join us.  The beach is always fun with friends whether you're an adult or kids.  Went out to dinner at JB's fish camp.  There's always a wait, but often times some entertainment.  We've seen dolphin swimming off the boat many times and there was one when we arrived.  The kids loved waiting to see it surface again and again.

Aren't they cuuuuute?!  Such good kids humoring me and my camera.  They'll thank me later in life when they need to put together slide shows for their weddings :)

Uncle Ronnie Time

Hunter got some one on one time with his favorite uncle while we were visiting.  Then Peyton and I joined them for an evening when I picked him up.  Peyton has pretty much claimed Hunter's truck.  Hunter would much rather ride the super fast riding lawn mower anyway.

No one was injured although it could have easily happened :)

I was informed when I picked Hunter up that he got his first gun shooting lesson from Uncle Ronnie.  He shot a pellet gun.  This is the target he shot at from about 25 feet away.  All but about 3 shots are Hunters.  Pretty impressive for his first time. (Lisa Rossi, are you still breathing?)

Peyton Favs

Here are some recent favorite of my girl.  She's growing up so fast.  Preschool will be here before you know it.  We've tested the waters with potty training and I'm confident she'll be trained before school starts in September.  We just passed the one year mark of when she had tubes put her ears..... and she promptly got an ear infection.  The tubes are out so we'll just cross our fingers that we don't have a repeat and have to put them in again.  She can sing her ABC's and count to 11.  Colors are a different story....gotta work on that :).  She still doesn't play with dolls.  I think she just likes doing whatever Hunter is doing.  Swim lessons start in a couple weeks....she's gonna hate me!  I got in a pool with her over Spring Break and she was like a leach so I'm glad lessons are soon.  It will give her a lot of confidence.

I'm sure you can guess what she's doing...... peeing like Hunter.  "I go pee pee."  Sure honey, go right ahead.  That'll be a fun picture to pull out in the future :)

I remember as a kid we would swim on my birthday, April 8th and it was always freezing.  This year it's extremely warm even for Florida this early in the year.  The pools are going to be warm in no time!

This year I share my birthday with Easter.  We'll spend the day doing Easter things and celebrate my birthday next weekend :).  My one birthday request was pictures with my babies.  Here's a sneak peek.  It was windy as you can tell.
